Methodology

Three kinds of evidence appear on this site, and each is labelled.

Published facts. Prices, plan limits, commission terms, policies. Each carries the vendor URL it was taken from and the date we checked it. When a vendor changes a price, the page updates on the next check.

Our monitor. We buy an entry-level plan at each host we cover, put a small static page on it, and request that page every five minutes from our own server. We record whether it answered, the HTTP status, time to first byte, total time, and certificate expiry. Daily rollups are on the live data page and the raw figures are available on request.

Aggregated third-party reviews. Where we cite what customers report, we link the source and say how many reviews it rests on.

What we do not do: claim to have used a product in ways we have not, invent speed figures, or rank by commission. Rankings are computed from the criteria stated on each page, and every affiliate link is marked rel="sponsored".

measuredstack is produced with heavy use of automation, including language models for drafting. Every page passes an automated check that enforces the rules above before it is published, and a human reviews the site weekly.
